Cartagena's gastronomic scene has blossomed over the past ten years. When choosing a restaurant or bar, we recommend opting for independently owned businesses which are transparent about their ingredients. 

The seafood here is of course, always popular, but you'd be surprised to learn that chicken, pork and goat (lamb) are local delicacies, and often the more sustainable choice. 

In Cartagena, cocktails are always made with freshly squeezed juice. Don't settle for anything less!  There are dozens of craft beers to choose from. We don't make tequila or mezcal, so if you want to try a local tipple, ask for rum, gin, aguardiente or viche.
